You want something warm and substantial to eat, but no time to cook for hours?
This is the quick Hungarian casserole a perfect compromise: hearty, dense, fillingbut can be on the table in half an hour. If you're just getting into cooking, this soup will still work - all you need is a pot!
đ Ingredients (for 2-3 servings):

1 tablespoon oil or fat

1 small head of onion
-
1 clove garlic
-
1 medium carrot
-
1 small parsley root (or an extra carrot)
-
150 g chicken breast or turkey breast, finely chopped
-
1 tablespoon of flour
-
1/2 teaspoon paprika
-
Salt, pepper to taste
-
1 teaspoon dried marjoram
-
1.2 litres of water or stock
-
1 tablespoon sour cream for serving (optional)

Parsley on top (optional)

đ©âđł Preparation - Step by step:

Toasting the base:
Heat the oil in a large saucepan. Fry the chopped onion and garlic until translucent. -
Add vegetables:
Add the diced carrots and parsley and stir for 1-2 minutes. -
Roasting meat:
Add the diced chicken breast. Fry until white. -
Seasoning, flouring:
Sprinkle with the flour and red pepper, stir quickly to avoid burning. -
Infusion, cooking:
Add water or stock, season with salt, pepper and marjoram.
Bring to the boil, then cook over a low heat for approx. 15 minutesuntil the vegetables and meat are tender. -
Serving:
To serve, garnish with a spoonful of sour cream and chopped fresh parsley.đĄ Extra tips:

If you like it more often, cook some soup noodles or a handful of rice.

Vegetarian version replace the meat with chickpeas or mushrooms - it works!
