đŸ„š The perfect boiled egg - hard, soft, creamy: how to do it right

"How long should I cook it? Should I put it in cold water? Why is it cracking?"
Boiled eggs are one of the most common basic food, yet many people mess it up.
In this post I will show you, how to make perfectly cooked eggs - any consistency, without cracks, greenish yolk or gummy protein.

🛒 Ingredients:

  • Eggs (any quantity)

  • Water

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • (optional) a little vinegar if the eggs are very fresh

  • ⏱ Cooking times - accurately, with stopwatch!

    1. Boil water in a medium saucepan.
(Do not put the egg in cold water - boil the water first.)

    2. Carefully add the eggs using a spoon.

    3. Start the stopwatch and choose the one you want:

    Chest Time Result
Soft-boiled eggs 6 minutes Liquid yolk, creamy protein
Creamy medium 8 minutes Yolk semi-solid, still creamy
Classic hard 10 minutes Fully solid, but not dry
    Overcooked - no! 12+ min Green-edged, overgrown yolk 😬
    1. When the time is up: Immediately take the eggs out and put them in ice-cold water 5 minutes away.
This stops the cooking and will be easier to clean them.

      💡 More tips:

      • A old eggs are easier to peel, but the completely fresh ones tend to crack.

      • The cold water bath don't miss, otherwise the egg will continue to cook under the shell.
